Working on strategies at creating a better future for achieving high environmental quality goals. One requirement is that the activity is environmentally positive. We introduce, educate about solar panels, solar cells and other environmental and climate solutions.
This Project was implemented in Darfur West Sudan, and designed with an effort to make a basic understanding on how climate change has impacts in livelihood and to the sustainable development. An attempt has been made to portray importance of energy linkages with climate change adaptation process.
It has also attempted to advocate that energy acts as a cross cutting tools to address the vulnerabilities on livelihood, health and environment. Furthermore, development and promotion of Energy efficiency and renewable energy can be found more crucial, when we analyse how and in what way it can contribute in upgrading physical quality of rural population and for sustainable development.
Location Area in Sudan was used for project to support agriculture and irrigation for them to have access to water for their agricultural use as this solar energy will support by providing the means towards irrigation for the rural poor. We also introduce the water project as this is the most crucial need in the region, we are still hoping to expand the project towards water management, provide and build rainwater harvesting tank, well, and water reservoir, installation of small scale type water supply system. Construction/repair of sanitation facility, maintenance/improvement of water resource environment, Installation/promotion of water efficiency irrigation system and other risk reduction program towards water supply as it avoids risk like over flood and other related risk.
The environmental benefits of the foreseen energy efficiency measures to be introduced into this school are numerous and include:
- Reduction in air pollution
- Reduction of GHG emissions equal to 32000 kg per each school
- Use of environmentally friendly materials as replacements for the existing ones (such as not burning smoke to cook or light but solar panels can be used). Encourage the pupils to read more and to protect the school property from being robbed and vandalised at night when it is dark.
The project was implemented by our partner local organisation in Sudan: Alresala Organisation in Darfur Sudan-for women development in the rural area.
