Terna has a background in tropical medicine with four years of clinical practice experience as well as clinical management upon which he developed a keen eye for global healthcare reforms. Acquiring a Masters degree in Public Health at the University of Dundee he had been involved in research directed at policy reforms with prominence on the qualitative analysis of epilepsy care across the United Kingdom for children and young adults amongst others. He is a member of the Scottish Cancer Prevention Network, Scottish Mental Health First Aid and National Institute of Management.
A certified Health Safety and Environmental Management expert, he is a strong advocate for occupational health and environmental protection proffering solutions to organisations and conducting training sessions to this effect. With his qualifications in Public Health he possesses a robust knowledge and skills on Millennium Development Goals, Sustainable Development Goals, Drugs and Alcohol policy and other health related conditions.
